Foundation Para Sports Coaching Course [3]
Hong Kong Paralympic Committee will organise Foundation Para Sports Coaching Course for basic knowledge and training principles of Para sports.
The Coaching course is opened for enrolment now. For people who would like to pursue the Para sports coaching professional or are interested to join Para sports, please download “General Information” and submit the online application form on or before 26 January 2023.

Introductory Sports Coaching Course is Now Open for Enrollment (Course code: Class 34(E)
Hong Kong Coaching Committee will launch Introductory Sports Coaching Courses in March 2023. This course offers those who are interested in sports coaching the concepts of sports training and sports science. Along with the sport specific coaching programme provided by National Sports Association (NSA), it equips participants to become respective sports coaches. Along with the sports specific coaching programme provided by National Sports Association (NSA).
This course (Course code: Class 34(E) will be conducted in English and organized on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Please recommend athletes and coaches for enrollment to this course. For details, please refer to the Course Details and Application Form.
In order to incentivize coaches to retain and upgrade their knowledge and skills in coaching during the pandemic situation, Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau has allocated funding to support coaches to pursue coach education programmes. Full waiver of course fees will be provided to participants by way of reimbursement upon satisfactory completing of the study requirements for Class 34(E). |

“Jockey Club Foundation Certificate in Sports Coaching Theory” Course is Now Open for Enrollment
The latest edition of the Jockey Club Foundation Certificate in Sports Coaching Theory will commence on Tuesday, 14 June 2022. The course covers the basic theoretical knowledge of sports coaching, coaching management and sports science, coupled with a practicum to equip students with the practical needs of sports coaching. The six-month programme consists of ten modules and one practicum (coaching assistant), including 65 hours of face-to-face classroom teaching, 60 hours of self-study, 30 hours of practicum and 2 hours of introduction to practicum, for a total of 157 hours. The course is recognised under the Qualifications Framework as QF Level 2. To encourage coaches to continue their studies during the novel coronavirus epidemic, the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR Government will provide full fee subsidy to participants of this year’s Jockey Club Advanced Sports Coaching Theory Certificate programme, who will be issued with the relevant certificate and receive a full refund of the course fees upon graduation. The course will commence in June 2022 and will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 10pm at the Hong Kong Sports Institute or online. “2020 and 2021 Jockey Club Hong Kong Coaching Awards” opened for nomination from 1st December 2021
The 2020 and 2021 Jockey Club Hong Kong Coaching Awards, funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and organised by the Hong Kong Coaching Committee, is the only territory-wide recognition scheme that are dedicated to recognise coaches’/teachers’ contribution to sport in Hong Kong. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 and 2021 Jockey Club Hong Kong Coaching Awards will be combined into one.
