Enrolment for the 29th Jockey Club Elite Coaches Conference is now open

The Hong Kong Coaching Committee will co-organize the 29th Jockey Club Elite Coaches Conference with All-China Sports Federation on 15 December 2021. As same as previous year, conference will be recorded and uploaded to the Learning Management System “Blackboard”, with details as follows:

Continuing Coach Education Hours Earning : The Hong Kong Coaching Committee will grant 8 hours of Continuing Coach Education Activity for accredited coaches
Mode of delivery : Online through “Blackboard” (learning management system)
Fee : $180 (HKCC Accredited Coach) $220 (Others)
Remarks :
1. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the conference’s contents and presentation order (or any part thereof) without any notice.
2. Once the enrolment has been accepted, enrolment fee is neither refundable nor transferable.
3. Personal data provided will be confined to processing application only.
4. Participants will receive the Blackboard login details on 15th December 2021 for viewing recordings and complete assessments (by multiple choice questions) before
14th January 2022. Result on the number of hours accredited will be released through email by end of February 2022. If you wish to receive a printed certificate, please expect an administration fee of HK$30 and self-collection at the Hong Kong Sports Institute is required when situation allows.
5. Participants who fail to submit assessment and evaluation questionnaire before 14th January 2022 will be considered withdrawal, and the paid fee will not be refunded and cannot be used for other purposes.
6. In case of any dispute, the decision of Coach Education Department on the above arrangements, terms and conditions shall be final.

Introductory Sports Coaching Course(Course Code: Class 27 (Cantonese))(sponsored by the Home Affairs Bureau) is now accepting applications

To address the need of member NSAs for training new coaches at the community level, Hong Kong Coaching Committee will organise the fourth “Introduction to Sports Coaching Theory” course in January next year. The course aims to provide an introduction to the basic concepts of sports training theory and sports science for those who wish to join the sports coaching profession, and to equip trainees to become relevant sports coaches in conjunction with the special courses offered by the National Sports Associations.

To encourage coaches to continue their studies during the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR Government will provide full fee subsidy to participants of this year’s Introductory Course on Sports Coaching Theory, who meet the attendance requirements and pass the assessment, and will be awarded a certificate and a full refund of the course fee.

The course (Course Code: Class 27) will be conducted in Cantonese on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm. We would appreciate your recommendation for coaches and athletes who are interested in attending the course. Please refer to the attached prospectus and application form for details.

Introductory Sports Coaching Course is Now Open for Enrollment (Course Code: Class 26 (Cantonese))

To address the need of member NSAs for training new coaches at the community level, Hong Kong Coaching Committee will organise the fourth “Introduction to Sports Coaching Theory” course in November this year. The course aims to provide an introduction to the basic concepts of sports training theory and sports science for those who wish to join the sports coaching profession, and to equip trainees to become relevant sports coaches in conjunction with the special courses offered by the National Sports Associations.

This course offers those who are interested in sports coaching the concepts of sports training and sports science. Along with the sports specific coaching programme provided by National Sports Association, it equips participants to become respective sports coaches.

This course (Course ID: 2122ICC01(C)) will be taught in Cantonese and will be conducted from 7 pm to 10 pm (Tuesday) and 2 pm to 6 pm (Saturday). Hong Kong Coaching Committee will launch Introductory Sports Coaching Courses in February 2021. This course offers those who are interested in sports coaching the concepts of sports training and sports science. Along with the sport specific coaching programme provided by National Sports Association (NSA), it equips participants to become respective sports coaches. “Certificate in Advanced Sports Coaching Theory”  [QF Level 3]

Coach Development Programme 2020 – 2021 Coaching Workshop I (Re-schedule)

The original “Coaching Workshop I – Board Rowing Experience Day” (scheduled for 18 & 19/7/2020) held by Hong Kong, China Rowing Association (HKCRA) was cancelled under the current situation of COVID -19.  In order to provide more training information under the challenge of the epidemic, HKCRA will re-schedule the ZOOM online workshop and Mr. Sam WONG, the Coach Director of HKCRA will introduce these material. The relevant experience day will be held face-to-face again later. The Coaching Commission of HKCRA sincerely invites all registered coaches and Centre Users to attend.

Hong Kong, China Rowing Association – 2020-21 Online Seminar
