Statement on International Small Boats Championship – Time Trial format
Dear all rowers,
Results of Race 1, Saturday 11th November – Men’s Time Trials
We apologise for the long delay in clarifying the results of these events due to technical issues.
During these time trial events there was a technical failure in recording the timing of crews in 4 categories. We are not able to confirm the accuracy and integrity of the timings that have been produced for the following categories:
*Under-19 M1x
*Masters B M1x
*M2-
*Under 23 M2-
The Organising Committee is therefore left with no alternative but to cancel the results of these 4 categories and to declare them void. The Organising Committee understands the concern and disappointment this will cause to all competitors.
Time Trial results for the M1x, Under-23 M1x and Masters A M1x have been confirmed.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for this error. We have of course taken immediate steps to avoid a repeat of these problems and the Women’s Time Trial events on Sunday 12 November went smoothly with all times validly recorded.
We assure you of our strong commitment to high standards of race management and umpiring and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to our Championships in 2024.”
