2021 HONG KONG ROWING SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS RETURNS TO ACTION AMID A TWO YEAR ABSENCE .

FIERCE AND COMPETITIVE COMPETITIONS BETWEEN SCHOOL’S ROWERS!

The Hong Kong Rowing Schools Championships 2021, organized by Hong Kong, China Rowing Association (HKCRA), co-organized by Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation, subvented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department was held on the 14th November, 2021 at Shing Mun River Regatta Course.

 

Although the Championships was cancelled due to Covid restrictions in the last two years, it was successfully held this year despite all difficulties!  The championships welcomed over 60 schools and more than 170 rowers to showcase their abilities.

 

After a day of competitive and closely fought battles, St. Louis School was crowned Boy’s Overall Champion with an excellent and all round display among their crew. 1st Runners-up went to German Swiss International School after a close battle with the eventual champion and 2nd Runners-up was Lam Tai Fai College who narrowly missed out finishing 2nd.

 

As for the girls, a dominant displayed by Christian Alliance SC Chan Memorial College ensured they took the Overall Champion honours. With nothing to separate True Light Girl’s College, TIACC Woo Hon Fai Secondary School and Jockey Club Ti-I College, they shared 1st Runners-up spots while St Clare’s Girl’s School wrapped up the championships by securing 2nd runner up spot.

 

Overall, the HKCRA would sincerely thank all participants and officials for making this year’s championship a success.  We are already looking forward to 2022 as we look to build on from this year’s event.
