1) Categories:
¡@
1.1) Rowing Centre User
a) Adult User ¡V aged 18 or above.
b) Concession User ¡V full-time students aged 25 or below, at a recognized educational establishment in Hong Kong.
c) Junior User ¡V aged 18 or below on 1st January in the year which he / she applies.

1.2) Registered Rower
¡@ Registered Rower is entitled to enter the rowing centres and use the facilities only during regattas.
a) Normal ¡V aged 18 or above.
b) Concession ¡V full time students aged 25 or below, at a recognized educational establishment in Hong Kong.

1.3) Registered Day Pass User
a) The Day Pass User Registration Fee is on a 12-month basis, fee is including Rower Registration Fee.
b) Day Pass Coupon must be purchased & presented together with the ¡§Registered Day Pass User Card¡¨ in order to get permission to enter the rowing centre.
¡@
1.4) Fitness Centre User
¡@ Fitness Centre User is entitled to use the facilities of the Fitness Centre only.
a) Yearly (Centre User & Non-Centre User)
b) Quarterly (Centre User & Non-Centre User)
c) Monthly (Centre User & Non-Centre User)

2) Conduct and Duties of Users:
¡@
a) Users are required to carry their User Cards at all times in the Centre. All Users must be able to present their User Card at any reasonable time, on request by the Centre staff, for the purpose of identification. Those valid Users who cannot present their User Card will be required to pay an additional administration charge for issuing a Temporary User Card.
b) All Users shall behave in accordance with the normal dictates of society and any misconduct or misbehavior shall be treated as a breach of the Rules of the Association.
c) No raffles or canvassing of any kind will be allowed in the Centre, unless prior approval of the Association has been obtained.
d) A User shall not behave in an inconsiderate manner towards other Users or Association employees.
e) A User shall not use inappropriate language anywhere within Association premises or jurisdiction.
f) A User shall not throw or dispose any refuse on or in any part of the Centre except in the receptacles provided for the proper disposal of such refuse.
g) A User who wishes to make a suggestion for improvements of any kind or to lodge a complaint about any Association matter may do so in writing directly to the Executive Director of the Association or to any Director.
h) Users are bound to observe all Association rules and regulations for the time being in force.
i) Any User, who damages, or through carelessness loses or destroys Association property shall repair or replace such property at his own cost, and shall be chargeable for such cost or for value of the property. No User may remove any property from the Centre without the appropriate permission from the Association staff.
j) Subject to the provisions of the laws of Hong Kong, the Association shall not be responsible, nor shall any Director, or Association staff be liable in any capacity, for any injury, loss or damage to person, vehicle or property suffered by any User, visitor, guest of the Association or other persons on the Association premises or whilst representing the Association in any tournament or competition.
k) No smoking is allowed in the Centre or its grounds.
l) No gambling is allowed in the Centre or its grounds.

5) Outing Procedures and Restrictions:
¡@
a) Rowers must pay attention to the weather forecast and observe the weather and river conditions (whether it is suitable for outing). Pay attention to any warning notices displayed at Centre.
b) Select and check the boat to be used. If any damage is found, please inform the staff immediately.
c) Rowers should only use the boats to which they are entitled. Users should note that private boats must not be used by unauthorized persons at any time. Association boats must only be used by those persons authorized and certified to use the category of boat.
d) All rowers must place their User Card inside the boathouse office or lodge with boathouse staff as required prior to taking out any boat.
e) Rowers using private and clubs boats must also follow Step (d).
f) All Users must fill in the Official Outing Form before taking out any boat. User card or temporary pass of each rower must be produced at the same time.
g) After 6:00pm (7:00pm in summer) all boats must carry and display approved boat lights in a clearly visible position. Boat lights can be provided upon request to centre staff.
h) All rowers must follow the correct river circulation pattern when rowing in the Shing Mun River. (Refer to Shing Mun River Circulation.)
i) Rowers must be alert at all times for other boats and obstacle in the river. Rowers should shout out and warn any boats approaching and likely to cause an accident.
j) Boats must not be left at the pontoon for long time. Always keep the pontoon clear for other users.
k) Wash the equipment thoroughly, and place the boat and oars back on the rack after being used.
l) If any damage has occurred, rowers must fill in a ¡§Boat Damage Report¡¨ Form.
m) If any serious accident occurs or ambulance was called, the case must be reported in the ¡§Accident and Injury Report¡¨ Form and the Association staff on duty must be alerted immediately.
n) All boats should be returned to boathouse 15 minutes before the scheduled closing time of the Centre.
o) All Users must leave the Centre before the scheduled closing time.

6) Water Safety Guidelines:
¡@ All rowers should be familiar with the ¡§Water Safety Guidelines¡¨ issued by the Hong Kong, China Rowing Association. These are available at the Centre office and on the Association wed site.

7) Use of Pontoon:
¡@
a) Users should avoid occupying the pontoon when not necessary.
b) Users should not leave their belongings and equipment on the pontoon.
c) Users should not leave any boat alongside the pontoon unattended at any time.
d) Users should take extra care of other pontoon users when carrying their boats on the pontoon.

8) Use of Boats and Oars:
¡@
a) Users must wash the boats and oars properly with care right after use.
b) Users should use the boats, oars, and ancillary parts in a proper way with care.
c) Users must report to the centre staff in any case of equipment damage.
d) Users may ask the centre staff for help to move the boats from the rack.

9) Use of Indoor Rowing Machines (Ergometers):

a) Opening hours of Ergo room:

b) Users should use the machines in the correct manner and with proper care. Centre staff will provide assistance upon request.
c) Users must report to the Centre staff in any case of equipment damage.
d) Users should not occupy the machines for an unreasonable time.
e) Users should dry the machine with cloth and move it back to original location after use.
f) Exposing the machines to rain is strictly prohibited.

10) Use of Fitness Centre Facilities:

a) Opening Hours of Fitness Centre:

b) No person may use the Fitness Centre unless they are current holders of a Fitness Centre User Card issued by the Association. All users must sign the Attendance Record when entering and leaving the Fitness Centre. Users must also put their Fitness Centre User Card or Per Visit Coupon at the designated tray.
c) Children under 15 years of age are not permitted in the Fitness Centre at any time. Children under 18 years of age are only permitted to use the Fitness Centre when they are accompanied by an instructor or coach authorised for this purpose.
d) All users using the Fitness Centre must be appropriately attired including training shoes (no slippers or bare feet are permitted).
e) No more than 18 users are allowed to enter the Fitness Centre at one point of time.
f) No users shall rest on any resistance machine between sets if others are waiting to use it.
g) Users using free weights (dumbbells, barbells, etc.) must return them to the correct racks after use.
h) Users using machines and equipment must wipe down such machines and equipment with a towel after use.
i) Baggage is not permitted in the Fitness Centre.
j) Smoking, eating or drinking are strictly prohibited in the Fitness Centre.
k) All users in the Fitness Centre must follow the directions of the Staff at all times.
l) Fitness assessment and personal coaching services must be arranged with the instructors approved and appointed by the Centre Management only.
m) The Centre Management reserves the right to charge a user for any damage to the equipment caused by improper use.

11) Weather & Tide Safety Guidelines:
¡@
HKCRA boats are not permitted to be used at any time under the following conditions:
a) Typhoon signal no. 3 or above is hoisted.
b) c) Red or black rainstorm warning signal is hoisted.
c) Thunderstorm warning signal is hoisted
d) One hour before and one hour after tide level is 0.4 metre or below.
e) Whenever weather conditions are unsuitable (strong wind, rough water, etc.).
For Club boats and private boats the Association strongly recommends that the same rules should be followed, however it is the responsibility of Clubs and boat owners to make their own decisions in this respect.

12) Typhoons:
¡@ Whenever a typhoon warning is issued, Clubs and private boats owners which have boats normally stored outside in the grounds of the Centre, should contact the Association and make certain that their boats are safely stored inside for the duration of the typhoon.
