or group of individual members.

Rowing Trips
1. Equipment
For all the Adventure Rowing Trips, leaders should bring life
jacket for each participant.
Speedboat escort should be arranged for intermediate and pioneer
trip.
There should be extra items needed for camping. Participant
is advised to check out the list of camping items with the HKCRA
staff.
2. Weather & Water Conditions
Although Adventure Rowing boat can withstand open water condition,
it is necessary for HKCRA to set the standard weather and water
conditions to prevent dangers of Adventure Rowing Trips.
It is a policy of HKCRA to stop Adventure Rowing Trips when
Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above is hoisted; or Amber or above
Rainstorm Warning is ON.
It is suggested no rowing after sun set.
3. Trips Routine and Camping
Adventure Rowing should follow the standard Adventure Rowing
Trip routine (see attached map). A group of leaders can form
a Pioneer Team to explore new trips routine in a scheduled
time. The new routine then becomes the standard ART routine
and the leaders should follow them accordingly.
4. Other Safety Measures
For each ART, leaders should submit final details to HKCRA 24
hours before the trip and it should include:
1. number of participants and boats
2. name of participant
3. contact number (including emergency contact person)
4. ways to contact the leader during the trip
5. set off time and return time
6. starting location and destination
7. fall-back plan (contingency plan)
HKCRA staff will report to the Marine Police the details of
the trip.
The leader should contact HKCRA staff when they reach the destination
safely.
Except under an emergency situation, the leader should not change
the planned destination. The leader should inform HKCRA staff
when they reach the changed destination safely.
The leader should contact Marine Police and HKCRA (if possible)
staff when they have any accident.
HKCRA Staff should confirm with the Marine Police the return.
Leaders should ensure the proper service for the safety boat
before and after the trips.
