Boathouse
Boats of HKCRA and affiliated clubs are located in the boathouse together with safety boats.
Competition Management Room
Control centre for competitions on Shing Mun Regatta Course.
Viewing Balcony
Serves as spectator and VIP area during regattas.
Ergo Training Room
The expanded Jockey Club Sha Tin Rowing Centre now includes an indoor Ergo Training Room, greatly increasing the available space for members to engage in ergo training.
Seminar / Multi-function Room
The Seminar / Multi-function Room is equipped with televisions and computer and is available not only for course participants but also available for the public to rent for various activities.
Changing Rooms
Both the men’s and women’s changing rooms are equipped with lockers and shower facilities. The expansion project has also significantly increased the capacity and number of shower facilities, providing users of the centre with a more comprehensive and comfortable environment.
Rental of Rowing Boat
The service for rowing boat rental is provided. The types of rowing boat and respective qualifications for using ad hiring of boats can be found at the “Guideline of Hiring Rowing Boat” and the user must be a valid Centre User and meet the respective quotation when using the boat.

General office, rowing machine room, gym room, resting/meeting room, balcony, changing rooms, rowers’ lounge
Boathouse
Boats of HKCRA and affiliated clubs are located in the boathouse together with safety boats.
Rowing Machine Room
Area for training on rowing machines. The room is equipped with few sets of Concept 2 – Model D rowing machine.
Gym Room
The gym room is well equipped with equipment for weight training and aerobic exercise including dumb bells, aerobic bikes, benches, curl bars, weight training machines and jogging machines.
Balcony
Area for stretching exercise and serves as spectator and VIP area during regattas.
Changing room
Both the men’s and women’s changing rooms are equipped with lockers and shower facilities.

Kai Tak Water Sports Centre
Background
Hong Kong, China Rowing Association has been committed to the development of rowing and aims to promote the sport at the community level for different people through various programs and activities, to achieve the goal of rowing for all.
HKCRA has been working hard to find a new venue for providing more space and resources for the sport, which will enhance the long-term development of rowing. Kai Tak is a unique resource that could potentially become a major Water Sports Venue to further promote the development of rowing.
Purpose
The Kai Tak Water Sports Centre aims to promote the development of water sports in Hong Kong, including but not limited to rowing, and also promote the provision of facilities for water sports. By enhancing the cooperation between rowing and other water sports organizations in pursuit of these objects, HKCRA further aims to promote public participation in rowing, so as to develop the unlimited possibilities of the sport.
Roles of HKWSC and HKCRA
Role of HKWSC
- Infrastructure
- Management
– Providing center facilities for Nation Sport Associations including HKCRA to promote the sport in the Kowloon East area
– Organizing and promoting beginners’ water sports courses, and providing opportunities for the public to try on different sports before they go for regular training in sports associations.
– Organizing races and events for different water sports
– Inviting affiliate partners and local communities to participate in the events
– Get funding to subsidize future courses for sports associations
Role of HKCRA
– Providing necessary equipment, including boats, paddles, racking
– Providing experience and Intelligent in course scheduling
– Arranging professionals like coaches for the event

Phase 1 – HKWSC officially took over the Kai Tak site for building the Kai Tak Water Sports Centre
Phase 2╺ Hong Kong Water Sports Charitable Trust was established
